Cut to the chase

The three-date rule originated in the 1990s, and was popularised by the hit series Sex and the City. The third date with the same person is an important milestone because it means that both parties have found someone to click with enough to see each other three separate and deliberate times. Something that we’ve been pondering at Matching Angel is how can we filter relationships with potential earlier so less time is wasted?

By the end of the third date, how about asking:

  1. What are each other’s short-term goals?

  2. What are each other’s long-term goals? (And how do each of you fit into each other’s plans.)

  3. What are each of your views on relationships?

  4. What do you think of each other?

  5. How do you feel about each other?
